Congrats, you’ve finished your deliveries!

Now for the fun part – paperwork! 😊

Your OL will instruct you whether to transfer any remaining books to another student or if you should drive them back to TN to return them.

Plan some time to get your online check-in process started before arriving in TN.

Please follow these steps:

1) Make sure your ROS is completely updated

  1. Mark the books as delivered - if you delivered them

  2. Update payment plans if needed

  3. Double check all of your orders - correct payments, balance owed, etc.

  4. Be sure to upload paper orders through SW Capture if you took any paper orders this summer. 

2) Have you approved all transfers 🔄

  1. They need to be approved by both you and the other dealer you did the transfer with. Double check those now and contact the other person if needed, this will help eliminate some delays later on. 

3) Do a book count 📚 – count any leftover inventory you have

  1. Make sure what you ordered this summer minus what you delivered = what you have left over. 

  2. Adv4dealers > Manage Account > Inventory will help with this

  3. If your book count is off, please go through this checklist

4) Please remit online‼️

  1. We WILL NOT be able to accept a cashier’s check/money orders in Nashville.

  2. Please keep enough money in your own bank account or cash on hand for your travel expenses to Nashville Check-in and trip home (meals/ gas/ hotels etc.).

  3. Remit excess money from your bank account via your Adv4dealers.com account (manage account > remit online). “How to Remit”

5) Did you do any deliveries for anyone else or early leavers? 📦

  1. Please make sure you have an accurate list of which dealer you delivered for, which customer(s) you delivered to, what you delivered, and what payments you collected if any. 

  2. ‼️Please DO NOT mark books as “delivered” in the other dealer’s ROS ‼️ if you have access to their account. You will enter these in the check-in prep process on Adv4dealers. 

6) Log into Adv4dealers > Manage Account > Account Activity

  1. Go through this line by line to make sure all remittances are correct according to your records.

  2. Double check everything!!

7) If you won Mom’s or Dad’s award this summer, please fill out this form 📋

8) Please fill out this questionnaire 📋 - this is your summer reflection & feedback

9) Upload summer photos! 📷 - Sunday meetings, customer photos, etc

10) Adv4dealers > Manage Account > Check-In Prep ✅

  1. Follow the instructions and take your time working through this, be very thorough.

  2. Keep your paper copies and photos of your permit receipts and business card receipts in case there were upload issues - do not throw anything away!

11) Drive to TN! 🚘 Your OL will likely instruct you where you’re staying.

  1. Lodging accommodations are not set up by SWA for Check-In, but instead you’ll get to stay with other book kids in an airbnb or hotel (whichever you prefer to book on your own).

  2. Please drive safely!

Important Note:

When returning your books, be sure to COUNT EVERYTHING!! 

Pull stuff out of the boxes to be sure it’s what you think it is. DOUBLE CHECK everything!! Make sure that what you’re returning is what you write down on the return form.

Return books to the warehouse directly. Do this before coming to the company if it’s within working hours.

There will be signs to direct you when you get nearby & where to park. There is limited parking, so you may have to wait if several people show up at the same time.

Check In Process 📋

1) When you arrive at the company, proceed to the designated work space 

  • Designated work space is on 2nd floor SWA area, follow the signs (weeks 8/11 + 8/18 in old customer service area; other weeks in Pony room)

2) Take a few minutes to fill out your Summer Reflection Form w/ additional feedback

  • It is the same as #8 above: Please fill out this questionnaire 📋 

  • Please take a few minutes to reflect on your summer and write a few sentences/paragraphs about your summer experience in this form (no paper versions this year). This is a mandatory part of the Check-In process, thank you for taking a few moments to thoughtfully complete this!

3) Once you’ve completed these

  1. Return your books and upload your MRN (merchandise return notice)

  2. Completed your Check-in Prep on Advantage4dealers - Get to “Final Review”

  3. Filled out the google forms / Summer Reflection

  4. Then, and only then, please email Sales Support (salessupport@southwestern.com) 

    When you have completed all steps above, you are done with your part.

    In your email to sales support, please start with your name or dealer number so we know who you are. Let us know you’ve completed everything, then we’ll start processing things on our end. 😊

You’ll receive a “SW Passport” at Check In so you can track your events. Once you complete all that are listed, then you can be entered into a drawing for Sizzler Bucks or SWA Bucks!

Feel free to hang out at the company/Lander’s Plaza or at your airbnb/hotel until you receive further instructions from sales support.

SW Career Counselor 👔

If you are a junior, senior, or college grad, please remember to sign up to meet with your SW Career Counselor. 

If you haven’t already heard, Danny is your SW Career Counselor!

He’s super fun and can help you with things like resume building, career planning, interview coaching, job searches, networking, professional advice, etc. He also sold books for multiple years and ran several successful orgs, so they’re very helpful with coaching, recruiting, and education field advice too! 

 

Note: If you are a freshman or sophomore in school this year, you’ll have other chances to meet with Danny later this year. They have limited time in check-in, so they try to meet with juniors/seniors/grads or those who are closer to graduating.

Additional Information:

Future steps will be communicated from Sales Support on an individual basis, but everyone will get to meet with your DSL for a personal conference/meeting after you’re done with the whole process!
